Five years ago, Shantanu witnessed the death of a stray dog. It prompted him to design collars with reflectors, so drivers could see dogs from a distance. “My dad asked me to write a letter to Mr Ratan Tata, since he loves dogs too. I was hesitant at first, but then I said to myself, ‘Why not?”

27-year-old Shantanu told ‘Humans of Bombay’ Two months later, he received a response from Mr Tata, inviting him for a meeting. “I couldn’t believe it,” he says
During their meeting, Ratan Tata told him, ‘I’m deeply touched by the work you do!’ and decided to fund his venture.. After that, Shantanu went on to complete his Masters. As soon as he returned, he got a call from Mr Tata: “I have a lot of work to be done office. Would you like to be my assistant? I didn’t know how to react. So I took a deep breath, and a few seconds later said “Yes!” in my Shantanu says
