Behala Gurudwara in Kolkata is feeding over 4,500 people everyday amid COVID-19.

Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee is readying lunch and dinner in their provisional community kitchen where women are also actively contributing.

While Gurdwaras is known for its cheerful langar service that feeds many, the lockdown has related many problems for the needy. In a bid to assist decrease the outcries of those suffering, a Behala Gurudwara in Kolkata is contributing thousands. Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee is leasing its provisional community kitchen. Basically to ready lunch and dinner for the less profitable every day, with women being at the duty of making the food.

The Behala Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee has worked together with the Indian Humanitarian Association. Indian Humanitarian Assistance (IHA) Foundation is carrying a worth praising chore it’s commendable.

They are heeding to about 4,500 people every day for the past 50 days, ever since the lockdown came into implication.

The committee is credible for the preparation of lunch and dinner in their provisional kitchen. Women, energetically contributing to preparing pure vegetarian food that is being disseminated to those in need.

“After the city administration set up temporary shelters for the homeless and poor during the lockdown. They reached out to me and inquired if food could be given and we commenced striving into it, ”

This samaritan act of giving meals has also percolated to other portions of Kolkata comprising the South 24 pargana, Satragachi, and many other pocket areas where meals were being provided.
